Skid Row are left without a singer and Lzzy Hale comes to the rescue

Skid Row are definitely out of luck with their singers. Since the separation with Sebastian Bach in 1996, the New Jersey band has seen Johnny Solinger, Tony Harnell, ZP Threat and the Swede Erik Grönwall pass through their ranks with whom they recorded their last album The Gang’s All Herepublished in October 2022.

But yesterday Grönwall announced that he was leaving the group to focus on his health. The vocalist, who suffered from leukemia three years ago, claims not to be sick, but sees the lifestyle that being in the band imposes as incompatible with his very low immune system. Looking ahead he has announced that he will continue making music and that he has written his autobiography.

Faced with this adversity, Skid Row have signed Lzzy Hale from Halestorm to sing with them in four concerts scheduled in May and June in the United States.

“It is an honor to have them as friends and it is a privilege to share the stage with them,” the singer has declared. «Erik, I wish you all the magic on your next adventure. Now… What leather pants am I going to wear?

Let’s remember that Halestorm covered Skid Row’s ‘Slave To The Grind’ on their covers EP ReAniMate 2011, and that Hale has already performed the song live on several occasions with both the band and Sebastian Bach.

We’ll see if it stays here or becomes something more permanent.
