advanced colon cancer

Although the cause of his death has not been officially revealed, Katherine Little, CJ’s partner, shared a touching message, shedding light on the last years of the singer’s life and his battle with colon cancer.

«It is with a heavy heart that I write this and it is extremely difficult to find the right words. CJ left this world on Friday, April 5. I have had over 8 wonderful years with this man and I love him to the core of his being.

In September 2020, CJ was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer. His initial prognosis was grim, but that didn’t stop him. We sought a second opinion and in September 2021, he had an operation that saved his life and gave us these last few years with him. He was incredibly positive throughout this entire illness.

It was so strong. She never lost hope. All she wanted was to be the CJ that everyone knows and loves. Last spring, he started having some more problems and he had another surgery in October 2023. This last surgery left him very weak and unable to live a full life. I have been by his side since day 1 and would never have given up on him.

CJ leaves behind three wonderful children who are all very special to me. Life will never be the same. I’m not ready to face this. There is so much to say, but words are incredibly difficult right now. Please respect our family during this time of grieving and keep us in your thoughts.

Despite not having released a studio album since “Full Circle” in 2011, the legacy of CJ Snare and Firehouse lives on in the hearts of fans. “Reach for the Sky”, CJ. You will be eternally missed by family, friends, fans and your bandmates. “Now you are singing with the angels,” the band said goodbye.
