Bruce Dickinson, one of the most acclaimed British musicians, recognized mainly for being the vocalist of the legendary heavy metal band Iron Maiden, has confessed what was the most exciting moment while working as a pilot during one of his solo shows in Kansas City, Missouri. The singer has explained how he flew British Royal Air Force pilots back to England from Afghanistan, taking control of an official Boeing 747.
And in addition to his musical career, Dickinson is a passionate aviation pilot. He has flown commercial aircraft and competed in various aerial disciplines, including participation in the British Aerobatic Flight Team. This passion for aviation is reflected in many of his songs and side projects, such as his work with the progressive heavy metal band “Iron Maiden Air Raid Siren.”
The artist continues his story: “They (the soldiers) would go somewhere for two or three weeks to try to readjust and then we would take them back. And on one particular trip, we took the Royal Air Force, who are the ones who tread the mud, the soldiers. They had been in Afghanistan. “It was an unusual trip because we were taking them to their real base, not a military airfield, and then they would get on a bus and go back to their barracks.”
Dickinson has left an indelible mark on the global music scene with both her vocal talent and her versatility and energy on stage. In addition to being a singer, he is a composer, airline pilot, businessman and writer.
The musician is also known for his skills as a businessman and entrepreneur. He has been involved in various businesses related to aviation, craft beer and technology, demonstrating his ability to excel in various fields outside of music.
In addition to his achievements in the world of music and business, Dickinson is a published author, having written several works ranging from autobiographies to fiction novels and books on military history.
