Able to keep a multitude of tasks in mind at the same time, the always busy Bruce Dickinsonvoice of Iron Maidenleader of his solo band currently on tour and businessman in the world of aviation, among other things, has recently stated that he has had to improve the way he approaches his business in Caerdavensuring that “I wasn’t around long enough to make sure I wasn’t being scammed.”
In recent statements to MirrorDickinson has recalled how he had to invest a lot of money to carry out this company, previously called Cardiff Aviation Ltd.founded in 2012 to provide maintenance, repair and training services to several airlines, and has been slow to become profitable: “I’m not going to go into details, but for a long time it was a money hole. One of the reasons is that I was so busy working, trying to get money into it, that I wasn’t around long enough to make sure people weren’t telling me. “Anyway, I finally focused a lot more on it, because it was costing a small fortune, and we turned it around. Now we’re making £400,000 net profit a month, and we’re busy until the end of 2026.”
It is clear that there is no task that can resist the Iron Maiden vocalist, who in July 2022 received a strong investment for Caerdav of four million pounds from Boost&Co, supporting the growth of the company in the sector. Regarding this passion for the world of aviation, Dickinson declared long ago to Wales Online which was something different from being on stage: “The satisfaction of flying a plane is doing the work, but the satisfaction of playing live is external, seeing all the people looking at you. With a passenger plane, everything is internal. If you have passengers, no one says, ‘Wow.’ ! “Wasn’t that great? “They’re thinking about the rest of the day. Your job as an airplane pilot is to get them there safely and be invisible. That’s great for me, because it’s totally the opposite of what I do when I sing.”
Bruce Dickinson will be one of the protagonists of the festival season with his participation in Resurrection Festthe great Viveiro festival, in which he will share the bill with Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me The Horizon, Alice Cooper and The Offspringwhich will be held from June 26 to 29.
