Vicente Ampuero (20)known in the artistic world as Ampu, is a singer from Puerto Montt who arrives on the scene with a style that fuses urban with pop and R&B references.
His music is melodic and has an “easy listening” sensitivity. It can be seen in songs like “Suite (freestyle)”, “Fierros al club” and “Astromelia”, among others.
Regarding his musical proposal, Ampu defines it as “an evolution of what has already been created and a hybrid of the 80s and 2000s, but without escaping from today’s urban scene.”
His musical influences range from Kanye West, Bruno Mars and Michael Jacksonto his colleague Eleven1.1, who has gone viral in recent months with his hit “Escarlata remix”, has named him the Chilean Michael Jackson.

“I feel that in part it is very true. My attachment to Michael Jackson is very personal, since his music has accompanied me all my life and was the first one I saw as a reference. Even when I was in pre-kindergarten I danced to ‘Billie Jean’ in front of my school and when I felt the crowd yelling at me, I said this was my thing,” commented on his fascination with the “King of Pop.”
“Responding to what Eleven said, he always tells me that, ha ha. I appreciate it and it fills me with pride that you think that about me. I feel like we have a lot of similarities. and if he compares me to him it is because I am on the right path”, he added about his colleague’s praise.
Now, the southerner plans to release his first album, PM vibes, which refers to his city of origin and will have 10 songs. This will be a milestone to highlight your goals, which are “to be a transcendental artist and become someone influential in the world”. This LP will include genres such as funk, soul, R&B, hip hop and new jack.
He recently participated in Erreflex and Eleven1.1’s collaborative EP titled Legazzy in the track “Esta night”, a synthwave cadence cut.
