Epic Games has announced an exciting collaboration between the iconic band Metallica and the popular Fortnite video game. This partnership will be part of the new season, known as “Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3: Wrecked”which introduces several new features and updates to the game.
This popular video game, which is available on practically all consoles on the market, apart from, of course, PC and Mac, usually collaborates with artists such as Trapper Travis Scott or influencers like the Murcian resident in Andorra The Grefg. This time it was Metallica’s turn, and we will be able to enjoy the game by putting ourselves in the shoes of Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett or Robert Trujillo.
Another of the strong points of this collaboration is that it will feature a live concert within the game, titled “Fuel, Fire, Fury”, where six of Metallica’s most popular songs will be performed. This event promises to be one of the main attractions, similar to previous musical events in Fortnite, such as those of the aforementioned Travis Scott and the pop artist Ariana Grande.
The collaboration will introduce several new items to multiple Fortnite modes. This includes new skins, weapons, outfits, vehicles and a special battle pass for Season 4, loaded with Metallica-themed rewards, which you can earn as you progress through said battle pass.
Metallica event launches today, June 13, 2024coinciding with the end of Season 3 of Fortnite Festival and the start of the new season. After a short system maintenance period, players will be able to view the update and participate in the event.
The collaboration promises to bring a unique combination of Metallica’s powerful music and Fortnite’s dynamic gameplay, offering an unforgettable experience for both fans of the band and players of the game.
Epic Games has not yet revealed all the specific details regarding Metallica skin pricing and the full list of in-game items, but more detailed announcements are expected to be made as the event gets closer.
This collaboration marks another ambitious crossover for Fortnite, continuing its trend of fusing video games with other entertainment media to create immersive and engaging experiences for its players.
All of this will be available until August 16tha date that will mark the end of this season 4 of Fornite Festival.
