INIFNITE’s Sungyeol will appear in KBS2’s new weekend drama “Iron Family” (literal title)!

On June 24, TenAsia reported that Sungyeol had been cast in “Iron Family.” In response to the report, Sungyeol’s agency, Management Leesang, confirmed, “Sungyeol will star in KBS’ ‘Iron Family.'”

“Iron Family” is a dark comedy that follows a family that runs a laundry business for three generations. One day, they unexpectedly receive money by chance, allowing them to smooth out the problems in their lives and pursue their dreams. The drama will premiere as a successor to “Beauty and Mr. Romantic” and will have a total of 36 episodes.

Sungyeol will play Choi Hyung Chul, a lieutenant at the Cheongrim Police Station. Despite being a talented graduate of the police academy, he is treated as the least successful member of his family, where his father is a teacher, his mother an artist, his older brother is a prosecutor, and His older sister is a doctor. However, he is proud of his work as a police officer. In the drama, Choi Hyung Chul develops a romantic relationship with a fellow station officer.

In addition to Sungyeol, Kim Jung Hyun, Geum Sae Rok, Choi Tae Joon, and Yang Hye Ji will also reportedly appear in the drama. However, their representatives have not yet commented on the news.

“Iron Family” is written by Seo Sook Hyang, known for her work in dramas such as “Pasta,” “Don’t Dare to Dream” (also known as “Jealousy Incarnate”) and “Wok of Love.”
