Approximately 200 people became ill due to norovirus outbreaks aboard shipping vessels. Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean International.

It is worth mentioning that the main symptoms experienced by those affected in both outbreaks were diarrhea and vomiting.

Following these incidents, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean and ship crews implemented enhanced cleaning and disinfection protocols. They also isolated people who became ill, among other precautionary measures, in accordance with health agency recommendations.
