We have talked at length about our natural satellite and on this occasion, although we will not tell you who claims to be the owner of the Moon or the reason why it is so difficult to land on the moon, we will do it again to tell you the China’s new space adventure and its future repercussions. Hold on, curves are coming.

China in search of the hidden side of the Moon

The Asian country has been presenting itself for years as the true alternative to world dominance in space conquest by the United States. And this is confirmed once again, according to information published by the Reuters news agency, which states that the Chang’e-6 mission has already taken off from Chinese territory.

As you can see in the video below these lines, the Long March 5 rocket he left heading to the moon from the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center at 11:27 on May 3. Inside is the lunar rover of the Chang’e-6 missionwhich will be in charge of trying to land on the moon and collecting samples of lunar rocks to bring them back to Earth.

Like vehicles of the space agencies of Japan and the United States have tried to reach the Moon in recent months, the Chinese mission will try not to have any of the setbacks that have exposed these organizations. Pierre-Yves Meslin is a French researcher involved in the Chang’e-6 mission and assures that:

It is a bit of a mystery to us how China has been able to develop such a successful and ambitious program in such a short space of time.

The Chang’e-5 mission managed to be the first mission to bring lunar samples from our satellite after 44 years and this new mission pretends to be the first to bring material from the far side of the Moonwhich has already been visited by Chinese probes in the Chang’e-4 mission.

And not only China’s eyes are on the newly launched rocket, but countries like Italy, France, Pakistan and the European Space Agency they are very attentive to what happens with the ship, since cargo from these nations and institutions are also found inside.

By the way, the lunar samples intended to be extracted of the hidden side of the Moon, in addition, have a more important value if possible, given that we are talking about rocks that may have up to 4 billion years oldunlike those obtained in the Chang’e-5 mission, which were around 2,000 million years old, and those obtained by the extinct Soviet Union and the United States, which were about 3,000 million years old.
