Amidst the dismay over the tragic fire that claimed the life of the son of actress Mariana Derderián and left his ex-partner in critical condition, the family of Francisco Aravena made an important clarification about the journalist’s health.
“I would like to provide important information because Pancho Aravena’s family asks us to do so,” said the host of CHV’s “Contigo en la Mañana” morning show, Julio César Rodríguez.

“We want to rectify the following to provide correct information: Pancho is not in life-threatening danger, he is in an induced coma. It is important to emphasize that it is not life-threatening, they put him in an induced coma, which is a normal procedure when someone suffers burns, like the one he has suffered and burns of this nature,” the communicator added.
“That is the correct information, so that it is not said that he is at risk of life, but rather this is the information that we provide at the request of the family,” added Julio César.
The fire, which broke out around 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Eight fire companies and emergency services were mobilized to the scene. Despite the efforts of rescue teams, unfortunately the minor was trapped in the flames.
The Carabineros Criminalistics Laboratory is investigating the causes of the incident, which according to preliminary versions, could have been caused by an electrical failure or a device turned on in the child’s bedroom.
Both Mariana Denderián and her nine-year-old daughter were taken to the Clínica Alemana to be evaluated for possible injuries. In parallel, the investigation continues to clarify the details behind this tragedy that has deeply shocked the community.
