The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces provided the preliminary results of the investigation into the helicopter crash in which President Ebrahim Raisi and several senior officials died.

The document, cited by the Tasnim agency, indicates that the helicopter followed the planned route without leaving the designated flight path.

“No effects of bullets or similar impacts have been observed on the components of the accident helicopter,” the General Staff reported.

Approximately a minute and a half before the accident, the pilot of the aircraft communicated with the crews of two other helicopters in the flight group.

Nothing suspicious was recorded in the conversations between the watchtower and the flight crews.

The report notes that extensive information related to the accident has been collected and more time is needed to review some data, which will be revealed after due diligence and specialized work.
