Hanoi (VNA) – Today’s direct sale price of gold bars is 78.98 million VND (3.1 thousand dollars) per tael (about 40 grams), announced the State Bank of Vietnam (BEV).

In an official announcement, the BEV revealed that four state commercial banks – Agribank, BIDV, Vietcombank and Vietinbank – and the Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) are involved in the purchase of gold for direct sale to the public.

On June 2, the official locations and times for the sale of gold bars to individual customers were announced on the websites of those financial institutions.

Starting at 2:30 p.m. on June 3, the five aforementioned entities began the sale of SJC gold bars to individual customers. Starting June 4, sales will begin at 9:00 local time.

The locations for the sale of the precious metal are located within the branch networks of these five entities, with specific deadlines assigned for each branch.

Based on the purchase price of BEV gold, these institutions will determine and publish the selling price of SJC gold bars on their respective websites.

The BEV will follow a roadmap to reduce the gap between national and international gold sales prices. /.
