The governor of Valle del Cauca, Dilian Francisca Toro, reported that fortunately, the security scheme of the vice president’s father managed to evade the attack and reach safely to the town of Robles, in the rural area of Jamundí.

I inform that my father, along with my 6-year-old nephew and the two protection men, suffered an attack on the Suárez-Cali highway, near Timba, fortunately they emerged unharmed from the attack and are fine,” said Vice President Márquez. .
“I express my concern for security in Cauca, Valle del Cauca, in the municipality of Suárez and the district of La Tomaas well as for the safety of my community and my family,” he noted.
