Latam and Delta expanded their “Joint Venture” agreement to Argentina

Two years after the start of their Joint Venture (JV), Delta and Latam held an agreement to include Argentina in the reach of the JV, which will allow its customers to access a network of more than 200 destinations between the United States, Canada and Argentina. This agreement aims to offer better air transport services and strengthen the benefits for customers of both airlines.

Thanks to this agreement, will be able to access better connections to the destinations network deployed by Delta in the United States and Canada. In addition, they will have the opportunity to accumulate miles together in the frequent passenger programs of both airlines, among other benefits offered by the Joint Venture.

The Joint Venture agreement provides numerous reciprocal benefits for Delta Skymiles and Latam Pass members. In addition to the accumulation of miles, Delta Skymiles will be able to exchange their miles on flights operated by Latam, and in the coming months, Latin Pass partners can do the same with flights operated by Delta.

This will expand “significantly the travel options between North and South ,” it was reported. Elite members will also have mutual benefits, such as access to VIP rooms of Delta Sky Club and Latam Lounge, the recognition of their status in both airlines, and complementary luggage options and of seats at no additional cost, among others.

This will also improve connectivity for customers that transport load between the United States, Canada and Argentina, with solutions integrated in both passenger and carriers aircraft, with more flight and connection options.

This Wednesday, Delta and Latam have obtained the regulatory approval necessary to incorporate Argentina into the Joint Venture. Companies have also notified the for their post implementation evaluation by the National Competition Commission in Argentina.
