In the middle of the Guadarrama river basin, An imposing single single -family villa is alive thanks to the designer’s intervention Iñigo Iriarte. His challenge: transform a resounding architecture into a warm, versatile and deeply connected home with nature. “The main mission was to create a home that reflected the personality of customers, integrating with their environment,” Iriarte explains. From the black facade, covered with metal rods, to the interiors covered with organic materials, the entire project is built on a constant dialogue between strength and warmth, sculpture and habitability.
The redistribution of spaces was key, since the new scheme revolves around a central courtyard, which articulates kitchen, dining room and living room in a continuous and bright flow. It is just in the kitchen where a geometric island becomes the protagonist thanks to the use of Wood, ceramics and iron, While high furniture hides after clay panels. “We wanted each space to have a real purpose in family day to day,” says the designer.

Art is not a complement; It is a fundamental piece in the emotional architecture of space
The materials play an essential role: clay provides texture, regulates moisture and visually connects with the environment, while natural wood introduces an emotional dimension that softens the lines of the architectural volume. “We wanted the house to breathe nature,” affirms. Art reinforces the emotional narrative of the house. Works such as a picture of Antonio Mother, sculptures of Slider or a vibrant piece of Egi.ka They live with custom -designed furniture, such as the sculptural table designed next to Unai Gabilondo. “Art is not an addition; it is part of the emotional architecture of space,” he says.
