The Villamariense Rocío Crosetto Brizzio and her colleagues Leandro Piazzi (de Córdoba) and Juan Manuel Balsa (from San Francisco) recently received the “Architectural League Prize for Young Architects & Designers” award, awarded by Architeural League of New York, the most important recognition for young architects in the United States.
The three studied at the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Design of the National University of Córdoba (FAUD-UNC), where they were also teachers. Today they work and teach in the United States institutions.
Rocío has a master’s degree in Advanced Architectural Design of the University of Columbia (GSAPP), where he won the William Ware Award for Excellence in Design 2022 and the Saul Kaplan itinerant scholarship. He is currently a fellow Pietro Belluschi at MIT (2024), within the Architecture Department.
The award? (It is delivered since the 80s)? Recently received in the United States, it is intended for professionals under 40 or with a title obtained no more than ten years ago, residing in? E? Se País, Mexico or Canada.
? Governor Martín Llaryora congratulated them through a tweet. He said that distinction represents international recognition and is “a reason for immense pride, since they are graduates of our beloved National University of Córdoba.”
