With a great call and a broad participation of local, regional and national editorials, writers and artists “Letters under the stars”.
The activity was carried out in the Plaza de Putaendo and the El Llano hill, gathering publishers from different parts of the country, educational institutions, cultural groups and the public who love books and culture. The inaugural day had artistic presentations of students from schools and high schools of the commune, as well as regional storytelling and the outstanding writer Lila Calderón.

During Friday afternoon, the prominence was for local writers and poets, including the members of the Historical Putaendo group and the SECH Aconcagua, with names such as Marco López Aballay, Piera Tachini, Maximiliano “Cartero” Morales, the Haitian Makanaky and the award -winning Oscar Quiroz Muzat. Music and popular poetry were present with Pedro “Choro” Estay and other recognized payers and singers.
One of the most anticipated moments was the presentation of the renowned writer Jorge baraditwho shared details of his work and his experience as a conventional constituent, captivating attendees.
The night moved to Cerro El Llano, where Yerco Chacón, of the Pocuro Largan Observatory, directed an astronomical observation, followed by reading poetry and the musical play “Aquelarre lyric” of the Caiquén cultural group.
On Saturday, the Municipality of Putaendo and the Cultural Group Amaru paid tribute to three outstanding local cultural exponents: the singer Pedro Choro Estay, the Dance Academy Seeds of Orolonco and the painter Raúl Pizarro. The day also included presentations by the Argentine poet Gustavo Kessel, the Santiago Dilcia Mendoza poet, literary groups in the region and the renowned Mapuche writer Pedro Cayuqueo. The Local Mestizos band closed the fair with a musical tribute to the Valley Environmental Defense.
According to figures delivered by publishers and bookstores, they were sold near 200 booksseveral autographs, and the project Libre -ía gave some 600 used books To the public.
