Jack Doohan faces another Formula 1 weekend in which he will seek to straighten a 2025 campaign that is crooked for the Alpine Australian pilot.
After injured in the first round of the Australian GP and adding four points in its license for various incidents in China, Doohan had a disastrous clash on Japan’s GP Friday when he faced Suzuka’s first curve with the open DRs.
Bahrain’s appointment, where in February he played the preseason, was his best weekend of the year, but that was not enough to follow the pace of his partner, Pierre Gasly, who qualified for the Q3 and gave Alpine his first points of the year at the end of seventh on Sunday.
Two weeks ago, Doohan had a very complicated step by Saudi Arabia, where he could never find the rhythm and crossed the goal in the penultimate position after advancing the Sauber of Gabriel Bortoleto in the finish line.
The performance of the 22 -year -old pilot so far in the season leads to believe that his future is not entirely guaranteed to complete the season, a noise that is enhanced by the presence of Franco Colapinto as Alpine reserve pilot, ready to make the leap after completing nine major awards with Williams last year.

In an Alpine team that has Flavio Briatore as an Executive Advisor Oliver Oakes as director of the team, it is believed that the former has a preference for collapth, and that the second is inclined to give Doohan more time to Doohan at the wheel of the A525.
When asked this Thursday in the previous GP of Miami for the personality of BriTore, Doohan highlighted the direct way the Italian of relating and that things with him are very clear.
“He is doing an exceptional job with his personality. He is a professional, so it is undoubtedly incredible, an entire icon, someone whom I have admired for a long time, and to the point where there are no nonsense or because you would be very quickly knowing what happens. I prefer that much more than rumors,” he said.
Doohan said Briatore showed him support before starting the season and asked him to put aside the rumors that arrived on his long -term permanence in the team during the 2025 season.
“Everything was clear about what was happening and he just wanted him to do it well and as well as possible, that I forgot about noise, what was happening and did my best. Things are always there for a reason, nothing is revealed by mistake, so I think he simply kept my head down, I did my job and I knew what was real and what did not,” he warned.

Doohan said that he was fine to have a few days off between the quote from Saudi Arabia and Miami’s after a championship start with five major awards in six weeks, but indicated that the most difficult thing for him in terms of comments for his future happened before starting the season.
“To be honest, the worst was in January, when there was more noise. Nothing else was happening, it was the city’s soil, but I think there was a new narrative every weekend and, in addition, immediately I knew what was irrelevant and what did not, and I concentrated on my work.”
“In spite of everything, even in difficult times, I never felt affected. I had a good group of people around me, and the team also supported me a lot, so I never had it or felt it in the back of my mind.”
“Of course there will always be noise, but I was more focused on being as quickly as possible in the car than in an external.
When asked if he understood why he was the target of all that external noise about his permanence in Alpine, Doohan replied: “I think it is only circumstantial, I do not think there is a goal towards me, it is simply how the situation develops and I do not take it as something personal, I do not take anything personal, I simply believe that this is our sport, so it is my current moment and sure I will benefit from it.
