On this occasion, we have financing from the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage through a background of the book and the reading that we awarded together with the Parque Sur Foundation, to carry out this fair in a place other than the Metropolitan Region and, to value both the local creation of the Los Lagos region and the exchange that is generated with the publishers that will be visiting the fair from other regions ”.
On the concept of the Fair, José Tomás González, director of the Parque Sur Foundation, explains that The idea behind the [r]Evolution of the book is that, with technological changes, the book as a concept has evolved towards other formats as podcast or audiobooks. “The format of the book as we know is in revolution, fighting with these new languages, but we feel that it is a constructive fight. Finally, Technology is an ally and not an enemy; It evolves so fast and I think, if we do not adapt to it, we will be obsolete. Today we see books that include QR codes, they complement videos, and incorporate more visual references in different formats, digital and printed ”.
