The reading of the tenths signed by who has become a godfather and ambassador of the fierce of the book of Lanzarote, Jaime Quesada, in the voice of the writer and teacher Mare Cabrera, will become, this Thursday, May 8, in the starting gun of four days of activities dedicated to literature and the performing arts. In its third edition, the annual event with the reading public will occupy the Historic Center of San Bartolomé and the heritage facilities of the Sardinian House and the Municipal theater.
The opening ceremony of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Jesús Machín, the Minister of the Publications Service, Ascension Toledo, the mayor of the municipality, Isidro Pérez, the Councilor for Culture, Carmen Medina, and the president of the Isla Literary Association, Tomás Pérez-Esaú, among other authorities.
The opening program will also include the “of bodies and letters” performance by the company Corpora Theater, at five in the afternoon, which will follow the projection of the shell short film of Ganzo on the first librarian of San Bartolomé, María Teresa Martín, titled “A time without clock”, at the Municipal Theater.
In parallel, “coffee and writing” will be held, an express theatrical writing activity, from 17.30 to 20.30 in the courtyard of the Sardinian House, as a formative collaboration and tribute to the renowned hobby of the neighborhood of the municipality for the dramatic genre.
-Until Sunday, May 12, it can also be enjoyed, in the passage of the Sardinian House, of the exhibition of illustrations carried out by Schools of San Bartolomé around the Book Day.
