The real case behind ‘Angi: Crime and Lie’ by Netflix: the failure made by the author of the alleged perfect murder

Thanks to that, he was able to make almost effortlessly for his work colleague and, with his own money, he rented the apartment in the Gràcia neighborhood where in mid -February 2008 he murdered Ana. He did it meticulously every detail of the crime.

To start, Angi hired two gigolós to take their semen. Then he put on his wig to ask for loans to the bank (emulating the victim’s hair) and got into the rented floor. He invited her friend, the true Ana, dinner and, once there, suffocated her. The rest of the tests (the semen, the boots, the wig, the rent …), left them bet on the crime scene to emulate another type of homicide.

He almost managed to deceive the Mossos, until some images of a security camera came to them in which the supposed Ana Páez could be seen taking money from the murdered account. Nothing made sense and, in the end, the clues brought them to Angie. In his judgment, The Prosecutor’s Office requested 22 years in prison for the murder and impersonation of ANA, although it finally benefited from a reduction from the Supreme to 18 years.

New detention in 2025 for planning another murder

Already in prison, María Ángeles Molina had acquired the fame that the media granted him abroad and has served in the prison of Mas d’E Enric, in Tarragona. His release was scheduled for 2027but, then, Angi committed a fault again.
