A fire declared early on Thursday afternoon on Cruz Verde Street, number 20, has caused a great alarm in the center of Ronda. Several people had to be evicted from the building, although the rapid intervention of emergency services was not enough to avoid tragedy.
The fire, which was detected by neighbors alerted by a dense column of smoke, motivated a call to 112. Several endowments of the Provincial Firefighters of Malaga, members of the Local and National Police, as well as health services, were moved to the place. Unfortunately, the fire resulted in the death of a 56 -year -old man.
The mayor of Ronda, María de la Paz Fernández, has publicly expressed her dismay and pain for what happened:
«I want to move my deepest condolences to the relatives and friends of this neighbor who has sadly lost his life in a fire in our city, on the afternoon of Thursday, in his home, on Cruz Verde Street. I am very sorry. “
The authorities now investigate the causes of fire, while the city is shocked by this painful loss.
