Thus, as Civil Guard reports in a press release, the facts began days before, when A woman denounced before the Civil Guard that her ex -partner had repeatedly breached the removal measures imposed by a case of gender violence, in addition to uttering death threats. The evaluation of the case threw an extreme risk for the victim, which immediately activated the protection and surveillance protocols.
Shortly after, the current sentimental partner of the complainant alerted the agents that he had seen the aggressor around the victim’s domicile, apparently hiding a large knife between the vegetation.
Before the seriousness of the situation, Security measures on the victim were increased. Later, she communicated to the Civil Guard that she had received a call from the aggressor citing her near the municipal pools of Arévalo.
The investigations led the agents to suspect that the fugitive could be hidden in a house in a nearby town. After detecting suspicious movements, the corresponding judicial authorization was requested to access the home.
During the operation, the agents found the obstructed entrance with belongings, which allowed the suspect to gain time and roofpicking up with a metal turret to a shared patio.
A search deployment was then activated in the area, supported by drones and a thorough tracking of roofs, warehouses and common spaces. Finally, thanks also to the neighborhood collaboration, the man was located hidden between boxes, covered with a sack and a wooden structure. He offered resistance at the time of his arrest.
The operation was developed by agents of the Civil Guard company of Arévalo together with the Citizen Security Unit of Comandancia. The judicial authority has ordered its immediate entry into prison.
