According to the coaches of the Costa Rican Table Tennis Federation (Fecoteme), Carlos Fallas and Johan Otárola, the Ticos Tenics traveled with an acceptable preparation, product of the planned work that has been developed since January 2025. The slogan is clear: fight for a place in the podium in the different categories.
Table tennis, also known as Ping-Pong, is a racket sport that is played between two players (individual) or two couples (double), in a rectangular table divided by a network. The goal is to hit a light plastic ball with a small palette or racket, so that it crosses the network and bounces on the opponent side, who must return it before touching the table for the second time.
It emerged in England at the end of the 19th century as a version of Hall of Tennis, and was professionalized until it became Olympic sport in Seoul 1988.
