“In response to the material evidence provided by the Attorney General’s Office, a guarantee control judge imposed assurance measure in a prison center to Juan Camilo Muñoz Gaviria, aka Teta, for her alleged participation in the crime of a trans woman whose identity name was Sara Millerey González Borja, on April 4 in Bello (Antioquia),” said the Prosecutor’s Office in a statement.
The capture took place on April 30 in the same municipality where the crime occurred, as a result of a joint work between the Attorney General’s Office and the National Police. The collection of more than 120 videos of security cameras and witness statements allowed to identify the suspect.

According to the official report, the investigation established that Muñoz Gaviria and at least six more people would have transferred the victim to a lot of the sector, where she was violently attacked. José Serrano, Secretary of Security of the municipality of Bello, added in Teleantioquia that the authorities already have “a traceability” of the alleged perpetrators of the crime. “They have made raids, registration of some homes, a history review to some people and that has allowed us to find probative material,” said the official.
