The delays in high speed Madrid-Sevilla will accumulate throughout the morning
Adif technicians work against the clock to try to reopen around 9.30 am the passage of high -speed trains between Madrid and Andalusia. The priority is to replace the stolen cable yesterday and the repair of the faults produced. During these first hours the circulation in the line is suspended and trains do not leave from Madrid or from Seville.
The resumption of the circulations of the AVE, Avlo and Alvia de Renfe services, together with those of Iro and Ouigo, will occur progressively, but from Renfe it is warned that the exits from Andalusia will experience delays throughout this morning.
Adif has asked that, in order to avoid agglomerations at Madrid Puerta de Atocha, train travelers with to Toledo, Puertollano and Andalucía before 8.00 they would not appear at the station until that time.
The president of Renfe, Álvaro Fernández Heredia, explained yesterday that two different incidents agreed: the theft of cable at four points around 17.44 hours, which allowed circulation with speed limitation and delays of about 60 minutes. “This is what was known when the trains have come out. In a vaulted and much posterior way over the above and when the trains already circulated, an Iryo train has had a” hook “dragging the catenary. Solving this is what has stopped the circulation for a while when all trains already circulated.”
