The National Defense Commission, Internal Order, Alternative Development and Fight against Drugs, which is chaired by Congresswoman Adriana Tudela Gutiérrez (Avanza País), quoted the minister of the Interior, Julio Díaz Zulueta, for today Monday at 3:30 pm, in order to report in detail on the emergency state in force in the province of Pataz, Department of La Libertad.
The head of the internal sector must present the results and the operational balance of the actions executed under the emergency regime, including the plan developed in coordination with the Armed Forces and the identification of the political and operational leaders of the current situation.
Likewise, explanations will be requested on the reasons why the deployment of elite groups has occurred recently, despite the validity of the emergency state for weeks in the affected area.
The Commission has also required that the minister report on immediate and planned actions to face organized crime in the province, as well as the measures specifically taken after the murder of 13 mining workers in the area.
Through her social networks, Congresswoman Tudela Gutiérrez expressed her most felt condolences to the families of the victims and said that “this crime confirms, once again, that the emergency states decreed by the Government of Dina Boluarte are not giving results.”
In that line, he considered it essential that Minister Díaz Zulueta provides clear and responsible answers before the Commission.
