A Shin Bet investigation (Israel Security Agency) about terrorists provided intelligence information about a significant terrorist infrastructure in the area, the FDI added.
Troops operate in Rafah while IDF expand their operations throughout Gaza
Subsequently, the troops of the 188th Brigade operating in Rafah found weapons and terrorist infrastructure and folded terrorist in the area.
These operations are added to the IDF sending mobilization orders for tens of thousands of reservists from last Sunday, on the way to expanding the invasion in Gaza.
The army said the expansion would be in stages, which indicates that it could take days or weeks before having a clearer image of the strategy and the impact of the additional invasion of the IDF.
