ITONGADOL/AJN AGENCY.- The delegate of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the issue of Israeli hostages in Gaza, Gal Hirsch, said that the official list of the living still contains 24 names, after the US president, Donald Trump, informs the press yesterday that the number was reduced to 21.
A source familiar with the matter declared The Times of Israel that the discrepancy could be due to Israel to have intelligence information that indicates that certain hostages would no longer be alive or that signs of life from them have not yet been obtained, but their deaths have not been confirmed.
-Hirsch tweeted that Hamas is currently 59 hostages: 24 of them appear on the list of the living and 35 in the hostages whose deaths have been officially confirmed.
Of the 59 hostages, five are foreigners, he said.
Given the outrage of hostages families upon learning of these events by the media, Hirsch insisted that their office maintain regular contact with them and is always available for updates and clarifications.
