Your legacy is now collected in the exhibition The silent witnessinaugurated this afternoon at the headquarters of the Ibercaja Huesca Foundation. The sample, which at its inauguration has been attended by dozens of friends and familypay tribute to one of the most essential figures of Oscense photography.
“For us it is an honor to host this exhibitionwhich symbolizes all the work that Fernando Alvira developed throughout his professional life, ”said Alexia Serrano, from the Ibercaja Huesca Foundation during the inauguration.
The exhibition offers a double tour of the artist’s life and work. ANDn First place, presents a selection of ten photographs that cover different Disciplines: Portrait, press, landscape, architecture, sport, among others. Each image is accompanied by a text written by a recognized personality of that area, which brings an intimate and reflective look that enriches the visual experience.
“Fernando It was an example of personal and professional evolution. He reinvented himself many times and always from humility. He taught me what it is to look with intention, with patience and respect, ”said Vicente García Plana, commissioner of the exhibition, who also highlighted the dedication and Passion that Alvira printed each of his works.
The silent witness It also offers an immersion in Fernando Alvira’s personal universe. Through a selection of objects that were part of their day to dayvisitors can discover aspects of their sensitivity, interests and their particular way of understanding the world. Ancient cameras, minerals, stamps, discs, archaeological pieces, notebooks and photographic laboratory material make up a vital portrait that allows the man behind the lens.
During the inauguration, the humble and observer of Alvira has been underlined: “Fernando was not looking for prominence; I wanted his presence not to interfere with what was happening in front of the target. His gaze was as discreet as deep, ”said Plana, who highlighted the photographer’s ability to capture fleeting and deep moments without altering the naturalness of the environment.
