The Kremlin reported that the tall three -day fire in Ukraine, announced by the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, will enter into force this midnight despite Kyiv’s rejection.
«Yes, the initiative of the Russian part, by President Putin, is still in force«, Said Dmitri Peskov, presidential spokesman, at his daily telephone press conference reviewed by EFE.
The high unilateral fire will last 72 hours, until midnight from May 10 to 11, on the occasion of the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army over Nazi Germany in World War II, which will be attended by leaders of about thirty countries.
Peskov condemned the attacks with perpetrated drones in recent days by the Ukrainian army Against objectives in several Russian regions, including Moscow.
Given this, the spokesman said: “The Kyiv regime continues to demonstrate its essence, its propensity to terrorist actions.”
He assured that Putin has not taught new orders in relation to drone attacks, although when announcing the truce he ordered the army to respond bluntly to any provocation.
Peskov added that the Russian armed forces are taking all the measures so that the victory celebrations take place “in a quiet, stable and peaceful way.”
