Castilla y León earns population and exceeds 2.3 million inhabitants

The population decreased in the first quarter in all the provinces of the community. León stands out with 1,113 less people; Salamanca, with 871 less, and Zamora, with 491 less. They are followed by Palencia (-351), Burgos (-343) and Ávila (-342), and a certain distance, Soria (-237), Valladolid (-120) and Segovia (-16). On the opposite side, the number of foreigners grew in all the provinces, with the largest increases in Valladolid and Burgos, with 1,289 and 1,270, respectively, followed by León (885), Palencia (467), Ávila (396), Salamanca (347), Zamora (261), Segovia (259) and Soria (225).

In interannual terms -April 1, 2024 -the population decreased in two community provinces. In León, 0.13 percent fell, with 598 people less, and in Zamora, with a setback of 0.4 percent and 664 people less. The greatest increases were recorded in Segovia, Burgos and Valladolid, with a rise of 0.86, 0.82 and 0.72 percent. They were followed by Palencia (0.32 percent), Soria (0.26 percent), Ávila (0.25 percent) and Salamanca (0.07 percent).

With all this, the most populated of the community It is Valladolid with 529,422 people, followed by León, with 446,629 people; Burgos, with 362,940 people; Salamanca, with 327,536; Zamora, with 165,313; Ávila, with 160,669; Palencia, with 158,481; Segovia, with 158,227 and Soria, with 90,187.
