ITONGADOL/AJN AGENCY.- The Indian government announced that its armed forces killed an Islamist terrorist involved in the murder of the Judeo-American journalist Daniel Pearl.
The Bharatiya Janata (BJP) party declared that the Indian army folded Abdul Rauf Azhar in the “Sindhoor Operation.”
A group of Islamist terrorists, including Azhar, kidnapped and murdered Pearl in 2002. The terrorist was affiliated with Al Qaeda and Jaish-E-Mohammed, an Islamist terrorist group that seeks to separate puppy from India and fully incorporate it into Pakistan.
-Pearl worked as head of the Southern Office of Asia of The Wall Street Journal and was originally destined for New Delhi. He moved to Karachi, Pakistan, to investigate terrorism after the attacks of September 11, 2001.
On January 23, 2002, he was kidnapped by Islamist terrorists in a hotel. His kidnappers, of the National Movement for the restoration of Pakistani sovereignty, accused him of being an Israeli spy and sent a list of demands to the United States if he wanted the release of Pearl. The US government did not comply with them.
In a video, moments before its execution, Pearl declared to have visited Israel on multiple occasions.
«My father is a Jew, my mother is Jewish, I am Jewish. My family practices Judaism. In Bnei Brak there is a street that is named after my great -grandfather, Jaim Pearl, one of the founders of the city, ”he said.
