This was announced in the Remedios Rubiales Remedios Awards, head of the Mathematics Department of the Center, who together with the director Edith Bedin, highlighted the importance of the subject to “make life easier and more orderly and avoid chaos and confusion.” They valued their qualities for “problem solving, creativity or critical thinking” and thanked the collaboration of all participating entities.
During the test, students solved problems with several statements in different areas: algebra, geometry, statistics and numerical calculation. One of the exercises incorporated water -related content, with reference to the Daimiel Tablas National Park, in line with the annual center of the center.
After the exam, the students took their lunch in the courtyard of the institute, followed by soap workshops and fabrics walked in the laboratory of the center. The day concluded with the awards ceremony in the auditorium.
Before the start of the appointment, the Councilor for Education, José Luis Calvo, was present to address the participants to welcome them and encourage them to face the Olympiad with peace of mind, reminding them that the simple fact of participating was already an achievement in itself, and invited them to enjoy the experience without focusing it as a competition.
The Delivery was attended by the Councilor Román Ortega and the Education Coordinator, Mari Cruces Pozuelo, together with the members of the management and teacher team of the host center, as well as the teaching staff of the educational centers.
Ortega, who excused the absence this year of the mayor for being in Madrid, thanked the entire educational community for the development of the day and stressed that these Olympics must teach us that “above the necessary resolution, there is the importance of not giving up, to reason above formulas, to use patience, persistence and confidence as validation of the effort.”
