To celebrate the 85 years that one of the best actors in history has just fulfilled, we ask the readers of El Debate to choose what for them is the Best Interpretation of Al Pacino of his entire career. Of the 20 titles that formed the survey, oriented to the choice not of its best film but of its best performance, one has clearly imposed by exceeding 33 % of the votes.
The winner has been The godfather. Part IIwhich represented the third of the nine Oscar nominations he has received in Pacino and the second for his composition of Michael Corleone. With The godfather. Part IIPacino opted to Oscar for Best Actor and before he got it in the category of Best Distributed Actor with The godfatherthe third most voted option by the readers of El Debate with 14 %.
Between them, secondly from the survey with 21.1 %, there is the brilliant performance of Al Pacino in Essence of a womanthe remake of the Italian film Women’s perfume Directed by Dino Risi. His interpretation of the blind colonel Frank Slade gave Pacino the only Oscar of his career.
