Land Rover has just launched in Chile to defend more resistant, luxurious and borrowing in its history. It is about defending Octa, which is available with a limited endowment and only at the express request of customers, at a price of $ 220 million.
“Octa, it is really spectacular. It is by far the most powerful defending ever created. It is full of elegant details and with a lot of meaning for the brand, on the front and the sides, but what highlights the most is the power of its V8 biturbo engine, which generates a higher experience of power, and an exciting experience when driving it,” says José Manuel Marquez, general manager of Land Rover Chile.
The Land Rover Defender Octa is equipped with a 4.4 -liter V8 biturbo engine, developed in collaboration with BMW, which delivers 635 HP and up to 750 Nm of torque. Thus can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds.
This mechanical mechanics is accompanied by a completely new pneumatic suspension system, which the British call 6D Dynamics. With a hydraulic interconnection between the four shock absorbers, this system allows defending octa to be maintained horizontally when accelerating, stopping and drawing curves on the road, while outside the asphalt it manages to bring the route and the independent joint of each wheel to the fullest, in order to overcome almost any obstacle.
To achieve this level of performance, defending Octa was submitted to the most demanding test program in the history of the brand, facing extreme conditions in Dubai’s deserts, Sweden ice, nürburgring curves and Moab’s rock paths. A true engineering feat that marks a new standard within the adventurous luxury segment.
Even his own denomination participates in his exclusive character. As they count from Land Rover, Octa refers to the octahedron, the geometric form adopted by the diamond, always considered as the perfect mineral for its hardness and high value.
