Carolina Tohá (Democratic Socialism), Jeannette Jara (PC), Gonzalo winter (FA) and Jaime Mulet (FRVS) are the candidates of the ruling party they will face in the Primary of June 29.
After registering on Wednesday the ‘Unit for Chile’ pact, the flag bearers of the center -left work intensely in their campaigns and have already begun to structure their respective teams for the internal elections, from which the candidate who represents the sector in November will come out, in the first round of the presidential election.
Tohá seeks transversality and Jara is anchored on the PC
The flag bearer of democratic socialism, Carolina Tohá, received at the last moment the support of the PS (after being proclaimed by the PPD, the PL and the PR), and it is expected that, in return, the party has an important role in its campaign team.
Previously, Tohá had incorporated the economist Francisca Pérezthe former minister of Economy of the government of Eduardo Frei Montalva, Álvaro Garcíato the mayor of Renca, Claudio Castroamong others.
The former minister of the interior indicated that her candidacy will not remain alone in the center -left, but that It will seek to represent “to the whole country behind a national look, of a project of progress, security, shared well -being”.
To the candidate of the Communist Party, Jeannette Jara, the general secretary of the PC, accompanies her as campaign spokesmen, Bárbara Figueroaand the mayors of the party Fares Jadue, Javiera Reyes and Joel Olmos.

The main message of his campaign, according to Deputy Mulet, will be decentralization. “Development has to be territorially balanced. My candidacy will be the voice of those people who have always been excluded, ”he said.
On the other hand, it should be noted that, after not enrolling in primary school, Christian democracy dropped on Saturday the candidacy of Alberto Undurraga, so the possibility of the Falange was open to give its support to one of these four applicants. In that sense, Carolina Tohá would be the favorite within the DC, according to some party leaders.
