
Servel Atacama team toured the Atacama Cultural Center to verify state before the June 29 elections.
For the objective of continuing to strengthen the support of democratic processes, the municipality of Copiapó expressed its complete disposition of the use of public infrastructure for the next primary elections, a process that leads the electoral service of Chile (Servel).
For this reason, Regional Team of the Servel visited the Cultural Center of Atacama to inspect the state and situation of the infrastructure of the place, lifting and articulating the first meetings to prepare the different election processes during 2025, being the closest the presidential and parliamentary primary elections that would take place on Sunday, June 29.
-On this, the mayor of Copiapó, Maglio Cicardini, indicated that “this municipality will always be a permanent support to protect democracy and so that people have all the facilities and the security of going quietly to cover and make valid a right that is fundamental for every citizen. We will have everything necessary to support the Servel in the elections that are coming and we will be in continuous collaborative work so that the electoral board does not inconvenient”.
For his part, the director of the Servel Atacama, Nibaldo Pereira, said that “we are touring each of the establishments that officiate as the voting headquarters, such as the Cultural Center of Atacama, both in the urban and rural sectors, because we are collecting all the possible information of the spaces. The municipality of Copiapó has been carried very well with us in the different electoral processes that we have carried out and we always have its continuing support”.
It should be noted that until June 28, 2025 it will be possible to carry out the process of change of electoral domicile and data update through the Servel page, but only for the presidential and parliamentary elections of Sunday, November 16.
