
Volvo Chile continues to deepen its commitment to sustainable mobility, innovation and security, positioning itself as a key actor in the transformation of transport in the country. Through a series of institutional meetings and collaborations with Swedish and European authorities, the company seeks to boost electromobility, dialogue between the public and private sector, and energy efficiency as fundamental pillars of a cleaner and cleaner and connected future.
During April, the company was part of various instances of dialogue within the framework of the visit to Chile of the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing of Sweden, Andreas Carlson, together with the ambassador Tomas Wiklund and a delegation of representatives of Business Sweden. In a high -level meeting with the Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, Juan Carlos Muñoz, concrete opportunities for bilateral collaboration were addressed to accelerate the adoption of sustainable technologies in urban and cargo transport systems.

The company also participated in the Chile-suecia business forum organized by Business Sweden, focused on electromobility, infrastructure and energy transition, where it shared its advances and challenges in the implementation of cleaner and more efficient fleets. In that context, Jesper Bernhardsson, Country Manager of Business Sweden in Chile, he said:

In addition, as part of the agenda, Volvo Chile was present in the reopening of the Tunnel Sweden at Los Leones del Metro de Santiago. This urban intervention seeks to reinforce cultural ties between the two countries, with an approach placed on sustainable mobility and the design of more inclusive cities. The activity was attended by Dan Pettersson, Global Vice President of Volvo Buses, and André Marques, president of Volvo Buses Latam, reaffirming the global interest of the group for the development of sustainable public infrastructure in Latin America.
