Ángel Fair Hurtado Urriago, was attached to the Bucaramanga Metropolitan Police and was on vacation. The authorities investigate the causes of crime.
Through a deadly trap, six armed men intercepted the vehicle where Ángel Fair Hurtado Urriago mobilized. With studs watered in the middle of the road, the subjects forced the police assigned to the MEBUC (Bucaramanga Metropolitan Police) when he was traveling to Garzón, Huila with his wife and three -year -old son. After getting off the vehicle they moved him to a wooded area and there he was murdered.
The events occurred in the early hours of this Saturday, May 3 around 3:30 am, at kilometer 5+250 meters of the Flanders – Cambao, in the sector known as Vereda Puerta Blanca, (Tolima).
According to the authorities, the vehicle in which the family moved, a Kia Stilius of KFV-298 plates was forced to stop in an apparent irregular situation on the road apparently caused by the modality known as ‘tachuela’.

Six armed men approached and made a sign of even to Hurtado Urriago. The attackers forced him to descend from the vehicle and led him to a wooded area. Minutes later his wife even inside the car heard several shots.
Desperate the woman went to the road in search of help and managed to alert a police patrol that performed surveillance work for the sector.
After following the women’s instructions, the uniformed entered the place indicated where they found the lifeless body of Ángel Fair Hurtado Urriago, who lived in Piedecuesta (Santander).
The authorities handle a possible case of theft as the main hypothesis.
The Prosecutor’s Office and the Police advance the investigations to find the whereabouts of those responsible for this homicide that today enluts a family and the police institution.
