La Robla will give this Saturday the starting gun to the seventh and last stage of the Cycling Tour of Female Spain, an appointment that began last weekend in Barcelona and will end in the Alto de Cotobello after traveling the 152.6 kilometers that separate the Leonese town of La Asturiana. A queen stage that will crown the great champion of this edition.
Both the organization and the City Council of La Robla work hard to finalize all the details and that both teams and fans enjoy to the maximum of an upward show. The squad will leave at 10.10 towards the port of Pajares, the first point indicated of the day to descend later to Pola de Lena and initiate the ascent to the Alto de la Colladona, a category 2 port that presents a slope of 410 meters. Then, after a brief respite, it awaits El Alto de la Colladiella, this first category and 527 meters of unevenness. And finally, the goal will be placed in the Cotobello Alto – first category – with 828 meters of unevenness.
But before that vibrant stage develops, Robla has once again demonstrated her commitment to the sport, this time of the highest category. And it not only focuses on Saturday, but on Friday the arrival of the infrastructure of the equipment and organization has already planned. A device calibrated to the millimeter to take care of up to the slightest detail. From the City Council they remind fans who wish to see the exit of the platoon – in the Plaza de la Constitución – that they go with time because the race starts soon.
Femke Gerritse Se Pone Líder
As for the stage on Tuesday, La Tercero de La Vuelta, the Dutch Femke Gerritse, of the SD Worx-Protime team, won the Esprint in Huesca and is the new leader of the test. Gerritse, 23, completed the tour in three hours, 23 minutes and 24 seconds and won the final sprint to his compatriot Marianne Vos (Visma | Lease Bike), second, and the Switzerland Linda Zanetti (one-X-Mobility), third.
You, who had won the mid-mountain stage on Monday in the 99 kilometers from Molins de Rei to Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona), is second in the general classification, 12 seconds from Gerritse, ahead of the Italian Letizia Paternoster (Liv-Alula-Jayco), who completes the podium to the same distance as you from the head. The Spanish Mavi García, of the Liv-Alula-Jayco team, is eighth in the general classification, with an accumulated time of 6 hours, 8 minutes and 10 seconds (20 seconds from the leader), while the Brazilian Ana Vitoria Magalhaes (Movistar Team) is in 56th place, 2 minutes and 19 seconds of Gerritse.
The fourth stage will be played on Wednesday with a journey of 111.6 kilometers in the towns of Pedrola and Borja (Zaragoza), on half mountain surface.
