The province of Santa Fe registered an increase in dengue cases in the last seven days, with a total of 1,531 new cases. Meanwhile, there are already four people who died as a consequence of nursing.
This increase is given after a slight decline in the week SE16, where the cases fell by 14.7% compared to the SE14 week, which had registered the highest peak of infections with 1,231 cases.
Regarding the distribution of cases, Rosario remains the town most affected by the dengue outbreak that accumulates 6,355 cases in Rosario, which represents 92.6% of the total cases confirmed in the province, which amounts to 6,857 cases.
In addition, in the province of Santa Fe, 4 cases killed in the dengue event were notified:
- A confirmed case DEN-2, a 79-year-old male (home department, town of Casilda), which presented multiple comorbidities.
- A confirmed case Def-2, a 25-year-old woman (Rosario Department, town of Rosario), without comorbidities and unfavorable evolution.
- A confirmed case DEN-2, a 14-month-old girl (Rosario Department, town of Rosario), with comorbidity.
- A confirmed case Den-1, a 72-year-old male (Rosario Department, town of Rosario), with comorbidities.
As reported in the Epidemiological Bulletin No. 753/2025 of the Directorate of Epidemiology of Argentina, at the national level so far from the 2024/2025 season, a total of 60795 suspected cases in the SNVS were notified from the Epidemiological Week (SE) 31/2024 to the SNVS, of which 6302 cases were confirmed by laboratory (6144 Without a history of travel and 158 with a history of travel to other countries Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela, Thailand, India, Peru, Paraguay and Colombia) and by epidemiological clinical criteria 5616 cases, which makes a total of 11918 dengue cases in the country. In addition, 4 cases associated with organ transplantation were confirmed.
The current report was made with data from the National Health Surveillance System (SNVS) of the Province of Santa Fe, of the selected events, notified until April 26, 2025, with the cut of the information per week complete epidemiological week. For the distribution of the events by jurisdiction, the usual residence data of the notified person was considered.
