With pure and traditional vallenato flavor, the first round of the Unpublished Vallenata Song Contest in the Pedro Castro Monsalvo Fairs Coliseum, an event that brought together 68 composers from different regions of Colombia and the world, successfully culminated.
Representatives of places as far away as Canary Islands, Mexico and Aruba arrived at Valledupar to deliver songs born from the heart, many of them dedicated to the Vallenato King Omar Gels Suárez, honored of version 58 of the Vallenata Legend Festival.
Unpublished melodies were a deep song to our roots, to the vallenata culture and the legacy that so many composers have built with dedication.
We appreciate the active assistance to each of the accordion and song competitions that reflect the identity of the Vallenata Legend Festival.
In each applause, the emotion in the faces and the delivery of the contestants confirmed, once again that the unpublished vallenata song is still alive and strong in the heart of the people.
Valledupar continues to sing its history and write new pages in the eternal book of the vallenato.
