For more than a decade, Jonathan Lipnicki was one of the most recognized faces of family cinema in Hollywood. His child charism left a mark on films such as Jerry Maguire (1996), where he acted with Tom Cruise, Stuart Little (1999) y Like Mike (2002). However, at 34, the actor honestly recognizes that his path in the industry accumulated several stumbling and frustrations.
“It’s totally valid to say I’m not where I want to be in my career”recently confessed to the magazine People. And although he says he is “good” with that, he sincere about the desire to revive his dreams
“I just want to turn this ship,” he said.
As a character interviewed by People, Lipnicki admitted how difficult the transition of children’s star has been to be an adult actor in search of his place in a Hollywood who rarely gives second opportunities.

However, his passion for acting has not decreased. “This is what I want to do for the rest of my lifeand I think you just have to believe that it will happen and do everything possible to take action in the right direction, ”he explained.
After his early success, Lipnicki preferred to move away from the cameras to focus on his studies. during high school, he paused his acting career And, at the end, he decided to take his trade seriously by registering in acting classes.
“It was the best thing I could have done”he said. Since then, he has worked mostly on independent productions, plays in Los Angeles and, more recently, he has entered the production behind cameras.
While his adult filmography has not replicated the impact of his golden age, Lipnicki has been working hard. Only in 2017 appeared in six films and a short film, although most have gone unnoticed

“Half and half has gone”Said the actor about the results he had as an adult. “There were things that were really good, but nobody saw them.”
Auqnue does not regret, he believes that these experiences taught him to be careful with the papers he accepts.
For him, it is a constant struggle not to surrender. “I pray every night to be clear about where I must go, and I have the confidence that the best is yet to come. I think if you are going to pursue this, you do a skinny favor if you don’t dream big, ”he told People.
One of the most recent experiences that Lipnicki values as a positive point was his participation in The Joe Schmo Showa reality show’s satire produced by TBS in which he interprets an exaggerated and self -centered version of himself.
The actor confessed that the program took him out of his “comfort zone” and forced him to laugh at himself. “As an actor who has grown up in this industry, you always want to show your best behavior. And there I could live my uglier side. There was something empowerment in that,” he said.

Beyond the professional, Lipnicki had also revealed other personal personal problems that he faced by leaving behind children’s fame.
In 2017, he published a testimony on Instagram where he reported Bullying and Anxiety Episodes that he suffered during his adolescence. “As a child and adolescent, they made me bullying without rest by people who are even my friends on Facebook,” he wrote.
“They made fun and said that I would never work again. They made me feel as a garbage every day in high school, to the point of having panic attacks every night before going to classes.”
The cruelty of his classmates not only affected his self -esteem, but also his mental health. “In high school, a boy called me ‘Has-Been’ in front of the whole kind of economy. It was humiliating”he recalled. Those experiences, however, sowed in him a firm determination: “They taught me how important your dreams are to pursue, regardless of what others say. It is amazing how the cruelest people reach their maximum point in adolescence.”
