A joint operation of the Group of Operational Tasks (GTO) of the Regional Unit I and the Special Unit of Rural and Ecological Security of San Luis del Palmar culminated this Saturday with the kidnapping of a truck that transported 180 kilos of meat vaccine of illicit origin.
The procedure began during a vehicular control and identification of persons implemented on Provincial Route No. 4, in the area of access to the Carachal Site, first Lagunita Section. There, the troops tried to stop a Ford Ranger truck with two occupants, who when they noticed the police presence performed evasive maneuvers and fled at high speed.
After a persecution at high speed on rural roads, the truck was intercepted in the town of San Luis del Palmar, at the intersection of Corrientes and Buenos Aires streets. There, the two occupants of the vehicle were identified, two young people of 23 and 36 years of age.
When requesting the occupants to discover the box of the truck, the agents found the presence of two average beef beef, with an approximate weight of 180 kilograms. The meat, according to the first investigations, would be a product of clandestine slaughter.
In addition, it was found that the transport of the meat was carried out irregularly, that is, violating the current health regulations.
In the place, staff of the Special Unit of Rural and Ecological Security San Luis del Palmar were present, which took intervention and continued with the rigor proceedings. The transfer of the truck, the seized meat and the two occupants were transferred to the base of the aforementioned Special Unit, where they were available to justice.
