Cairo, May 2 (EFE) .- At least four people died this in a bombing attributed to Israel against a farm located west of the city of Sueida, in southern Syria, in the midst of the tensions derived from the clashes between the Syrian security forces and militiamen of the Drusa community.

The Province of Al Sueida said in a statement reproduced by the Syrian agency that the four people died “in an attack of the Israeli occupation against the people of Kanaker, southwest of (the city of) Sueida”, without contributing more details.

For its part, the network of activists ‘Suwayda24’ said in its official X that an allegedly Israeli drone that was flying over the area fired the projectile that killed four residents of the province.

According to witnesses and other face -to -face sources cited by the organization, the drone was from a machine gun near the attacked farm while flying over it and, seconds later, “he replied by bombing it.”

“The crater resulting from the bombing is large and the damage to the place is extensive. None of this seems to have been caused by a drone manufactured locally,” said the network of activists, who recalled that Israeli drones are operating in the airspace of southern Syria for several days.

This incident takes place at a of tension between armed linked to the Drusa community and the security forces in southern Syria, which for days starring clashes that have resulted in dozens of dead and have caused an Israeli intervention in favor of that religious minority.

The faces faced yesterday reached an agreement, according to healthy, on the need to “activate public safety in the province” and integrate the Druss combatants into the security forces, while starting to establish control posts around the city of Sueda to secure it and reopen the road that connects with Damascus.

However, a security source cited by the agency denounced that forces were surprised this Friday by “ groups” that attacked a control post close to Sueda, in violation of the agreement, and said that Damascus “will not tolerate anyone who tries to destabilize the situation.”

In the midst of this situation, Israeli fighters bombed this morning a sector close to the Damascus presidential palace without leaving victims, an attack that was confirmed by Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamín Netanyahu, and the Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, who assured that they will not allow Syrian forces to threaten the Drusa community.
