The French filmmaker has already been in charge of carrying out the first “Silent Hill movie in 2006. This new film starring Jeremy Irvine and Hannah Emily Anderson and as the company has reported, The film is presented as “a faithful adaptation of the video game ‘Silent Hill 2′”one of the most important horror video games of all time.
The film tells James’s story, a shattered man after the break with the love of his life, Mary. When he receives a mysterious letter from her, James returns to Silent Hill, only to discover that the city has been transformed by an unknown force.
In her desperate search for Mary, she faces terrifying creatures and begins to unravel the mystery that surrounds the people. As he enters the dark, the secrets he discovers takes him to a chilling truth, struggling to maintain sanity and save his only true love.
-From Cineverse, Yolanda Macias, content director, has highlighted the importance of adding a world success franchise, with an accumulated box office of 156 million dollars between the first two films. For his part, Brandon Hill, Executive Director of Acquisitions, has stressed that “Silent Hill is one of the best video game franchises and Christophe Gans has done a phenomenal job capturing the atmosphere of the games once again”
Gans himself has declared that this adaptation is born from the “deep respect for a true masterpiece of the video game, the iconic ‘Silent Hill 2’ of Konami”, and hopes that fans enjoy and feel satisfied with the experience that the film will offer.
