The radio workshop dictated by Maximiliano Fuentes in the retiree center “September 19”, located in Gervasio Méndez 490, in the city of Paraná, offers an inclusive and educational space for all ages. The activity is carried out every Tuesday from 18 to 20 hours, with the aim of bringing participants to the world of media.
“It is the third year in which we seek to be able to teach and that people have an approach and want to know what the radio is,” Fuentes said. As he explained, the workshop is designed as an experiential experience: “That the boys have an experience, say, and communicate what it is.”
The proposal is part of the wide range of activities offered by the retiree center. “We are one of the workshops, there is also folklore, there is Tejo and others,” said the head of the space.
Know the media from within
The course not only provides theoretical content, but also proposes tours of local media. “It includes being able to know the city media and use the tools,” said Fuentes, who also thanked the collaboration of different press spaces. “We thank all the media for boys to see a little about what TV, radio and other media is about,” he said.
One of the workshop pillars is the work on oral expression. “This workshop has no age limits and sometimes we read a poem, we see the types of oratory, we simulate some radio programs,” Fuentes explained. For him, the central objective is self -knowledge: “That is the idea, that we know ourselves and know our voice to communicate.”
The dynamics of the space allows participants to discover skills and arouse vocations. Throughout classes, practices, games and moments of reflection are combined to encourage creativity.
Vocation and enthusiasm of the participants
Santiago, one of the students, shared his experience in the workshop. “I would like to be a announcer and that’s why I am doing these workshops,” he said with enthusiasm. The young man said that it is a first step in a path that he wants to travel. “I am doing this to have the opportunity, if life gives me that luxury. Therefore, I can go making these steps,” he said.
This type of initiatives seeks to strengthen ties between generations and promote joint learning in an environment of respect and curiosity. Participation is free and free, which favors the inclusion and diversity of voices in the field of communication.
The radio workshop at the Paraná retiree center shows that the passion to communicate is not age. With practical activities, media visits and a human approach, invites you to discover the power of voice and the message.
