Jay remembers, in a conversation with Cordapolisthat their beginnings in the interpretation were more informal, acting for family and friends at birthday parties or meetings. Over time, these little actions were growing, and one person led to another, causing opportunities to multiply.
The international leap arrived in 2013, when he had his “first opportunity to leave Brazil, to take a tour in Chile. From there, his career was climbing. In 2017, he arrived in Europe for the first time, and in 2018, the decision was to move to the continent, settling in Italy due to the numerous work proposals received there, more than in Brazil. Now, he arrives for the first time to Córdoba with a show that premiered in 2022, and that, he says, seeks to “reproduce to the smallest detail” what would be a concert by Michael Jackson, paying attention to the lights, colors, colors, costumes and musical and artistically aspects. The goal is to get as much as possible to Michael Jackson, whom he considers “the biggest.”
It is said by someone who, curiously, began to make Michael Jackson professionally after the artist’s death, in 2009. Although, as Jay says, his death sometimes seems close because Jackson is still present in the lives of millions of people, and his music and his work continues to fill theaters from all over the world thanks to shows like the one who now brings to Córdoba.
In this sense, Jay considers himself depositary of the legacy and memory of Jackson. This conviction, his desire to thank Michael, was what prompted him to give a more professional approach to the idea of a show in his tribute. Lenny acknowledges that his favorite topic of the King of Pop is Human Nature. “It is the first song that I learned to sing really.
