The Criminal Court number 2 of Santiago has condemned José Luis SM, a neighbor of Ribeira, nine months in prison for a crime of continuous animal abuse that caused the death of his dog. The defendant recognized the facts before the court in a judgment of conformity.
According to the sentence, during 2019, The man kept the animal in extreme conditions: permanently chained, without access to food or water, and without receiving veterinary attention.
